Daytime Smokey

- Beauty

I took my everyday makeup look and played up my eyes for a look that can transition easily from day to night.  Here’s the details and brands that I used for this look!

I prefer to use a dark brown shadow to fill in my eyebrows.  Chelsea and I use different types of makeup and tools to do our brows.  What do you all think about a how-to showing our different techniques?  I used the Urban Decay shadow in “Faint” with an angled brush and then topped it with L’Oreal brow plumper in the color “Medium to Dark” to hold the look in place.

For my shadow I used the same Urban Decay Naked Basics palette I got my brow color from to get my base. “Venus” is on the inner corners and “W.O.S.” on the lid. For the crease and outer corner I went with Anastasia Beverly Hills in “Burnt Orange”.  This is a deep orange that’s really matte and perfect for a daytime smokey eye. I used an angled brush to line my lower lid with this same burnt orange and then a little of “Faint” on the lower outermost corner to darken it a bit.

My go-to mascara is by Benefit. I use Benefit’s “They’re Real!” Mascara in black. Don’t forget to swipe down to get the tops of your lashes for added lift! For extra oomph, I used the Benefit “They’re Real!” Tinted Lash Primer underneath. I LOVE the length and volume this combo gives me!

I was a Buxom Babe with my lips.  Their liquid lipsticks are matte without drying (they actually felt really smooth while I wore it!) I used Buxom Wildly Whipped Liquid Lipstick in “Centerfold” and topped it with Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in “White Russian”. Buxoms lip products are plumping and White Russian gives you the (non-sticky) gloss without shimmer or glitter. I’m hooked on Buxom lip products!

Try it out for an easily transitioned look that’s SMOKING for daytime too, Darlings!
